Realities of Teaching

Like any profession, teaching has its share of joys and frustrations.  Here are some of the frustrating realities all teachers face.  Don`t let them get you down; accept them as part of the job and keep doing your best.

  • Not all of your students will like you. Nor will you like all of your students.
  • Not all of your students will be interested in what you say or do in class.
  • Some lessons will simply fall flat.
  • You cannot always be creative.
  • You will make mistakes.

When you experience one of these realities, don`t fall into the trap of thinking you`re the only teacher who does.  All teachers do at some time or another.
