Using Unusual Fonts


Recent research has shown that presenting information in an unusual font (e.g., French Script MT) enhances students' learning.  The reason for this is that unusual fonts require students to think more deeply about what they are reading.  Because students cannot skim material in a hard to read font, they are forced to read more carefully.
