Here are guidelines to follow when planning a course:

1. Consider who will be taking the course. Design your course taking into account the skills levels and interests of your students.
2. Carefully develop goals for the course. Ask yourself what you want your students to achieve by the end of the course.
3. Plan teaching and learning activities that will help your students achieve the goals you set.
4. Plan how you will assess your students’ progress towards meeting the goals. Establish ways in which you will provide helpful feedback.
