Difficulty Completing Assignments
One or more of your students may have difficulty completing assignments. Always begin by making sure that an assignment is not too difficult or will not take too long to complete. Try to make each assignment as interesting as possible to increase students’ motivation to complete the assignment.
Some assignments can be presented in segments. For example, 20 addition problems can be broken into two sets of 10 problems. Some assignments can be shortened. For example, instead of having students write two sentences containing each new spelling word for the week, they can be assigned to write one sentence for each word. Finally, some students may need to be given more time to complete an assignment than the other students are given.
