Evaluating Oral Presentations

Here are criteria you can use when evaluating a student’s oral presentation.

1. The extent to which the student demonstrates understanding of the topic.
2. The extent to which the student is prepared and has appeared to rehearse the presentation.
3. The extent to which the student speaks clearly and distinctly with no mispronunciations of words.
4. The extent to which the student seems comfortable and establishes eye contact with class members.
5. The extent to which the student appears enthusiastic about the topic.
6. The extent to which the student speaks loudly enough to be heard by all class members.
7. The extent to which the student adheres to any proscribed time limit.
